Poncho Zuleta is a Colombian vallenato singer, born in Villanueva, La Guajira, in 1949. He became known as the vocalist of Los Hermanos Zuleta, the group he formed with his accordionist brother Emiliano Zuleta Díaz, and his repertoire includes “La sangre llama,” “Mi hermano y yo” and “Mañanita de invierno.”

In 1982, Los Hermanos Zuleta performed in Stockholm during the celebrations surrounding Gabriel García Márquez’s Nobel Prize. Decades later, the 2016 Festival de la Leyenda Vallenata in Valledupar honored Poncho and Emiliano Zuleta and their work in vallenato.
