Pretty Lights is the electronic music project of American producer Derek Vincent Smith. Its sample-driven sound uses hip-hop beats, funk and soul, and the project is known for tracks including “Finally Moving” and “Hot Like Sauce,” as well as the albums Filling Up the City Skies and A Color Map of the Sun. In 2014, Pretty Lights performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver with a live band and the Colorado Symphony. After several years away from the stage, the project returned in 2023 on the Soundship Spacesystem Tour, which included multi-night engagements at Mission Ballroom and The Brooklyn Mirage.
