Artist
Public Enemy is an American hip-hop group formed on Long Island in 1985, led by rappers Chuck D and Flavor Flav. Their politically charged records include the albums It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and Fear of a Black Planet, as well as “Fight the Power,” “Bring the Noise” and “Don't Believe the Hype.” Public Enemy opened for U2 on part of the Zoo TV Tour in 1992. In 2008 they performed It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back in full at London's Brixton Academy, and in 2013 they joined LL Cool J, Ice Cube and De La Soul on the Kings of the Mic Tour. The group performed at Coachella in 2009 and at Glastonbury Festival in 2013.
