About Public Memory
Public Memory is an American electronic project led by Brooklyn musician Robert Toher, formerly of ERAAS. Its dark, rhythm-led music draws on trip-hop, ambient electronics and cold wave; the debut album Wuthering Drum, featuring “Ringleader” and “Zig Zag,” established the project’s sound, followed by records including Demolition and Ripped Apparition.
Public Memory recorded full live sessions for Audiotree Live and KEXP, translating the layered electronics and vocals of Wuthering Drum into filmed studio performances. These sessions provide the clearest record of the project’s early live presentation on KEXP.
