Puma Blue in Mexico City

Puma Blue is the recording name of British singer, songwriter and producer Jacob Allen, who grew up in south London. He makes downtempo alternative R&B and jazz-pop shaped by close-miked vocals and guitar. His best-known work includes “Moon Undah Water” and “Opiate,” the EPs Swum Baby and Blood Loss, and the albums In Praise of Shadows and Holy Waters. A Late Night Special documented Puma Blue’s concert arrangements for voice, guitar, saxophone, bass and drums. He later toured with a full band, bringing material from In Praise of Shadows and Holy Waters to clubs and theatres in Britain, continental Europe and North America.
