Tyrese & SWV in Houston

Tyrese is an American R&B and soul singer, songwriter and actor, born in Los Angeles in 1978. His self-titled debut album featured “Sweet Lady,” and his catalog also includes “How You Gonna Act Like That,” “Shame” and the album Black Rose. As an actor, he is known for playing Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious films. Tyrese toured the United States with Ginuwine and Tank on the Three Kings Tour in 2013, the year their trio TGT released the album Three Kings. The group also performed at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.

SWV, short for Sisters With Voices, is an American R&B vocal trio formed in New York City in 1988 by Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons. Their debut album, It’s About Time, introduced the group’s close harmonies through songs including “Weak,” “Right Here,” and “I’m So into You”; later releases included “You’re the One” and “Rain.” In 2023, SWV toured with Jodeci and Dru Hill on the Summer Block Party Tour. The following year, they co-headlined the Queens of R&B Tour with Xscape, joined by Mýa, Total and 702.
