Rachael & Vilray are an American vocal-and-guitar duo comprising Lake Street Dive singer Rachael Price and guitarist, singer and songwriter Vilray Bolles. The two met while studying at the New England Conservatory and perform original jazz-pop songs shaped by prewar popular music. Their recordings include the albums Rachael & Vilray and I Love a Love Song!, as well as songs such as “Do Friends Fall in Love?” and “At Your Mother’s House.” Their 2019 NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert documented the duo’s core live format: Price on lead vocals and Vilray Bolles on acoustic guitar, harmony and duet vocals. They also presented that repertoire on the public-radio variety program Live from Here.
