Rachael Yamagata is an American singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Arlington, Virginia, in 1977. She first performed with the Chicago band Bumpus before starting a solo career. Her debut album, Happenstance, includes “Be Be Your Love” and “Worn Me Down”; later releases include Elephants...Teeth Sinking into Heart, Chesapeake and Tightrope Walker. She has also made repeated headline visits to South Korea, including concerts in Seoul.
