Raine Maida in Winnipeg

Raine Maida is a Canadian alternative-rock singer-songwriter, born in Toronto in 1970 and best known as the lead vocalist of Our Lady Peace. He co-founded the band in 1992 and sang on songs including “Clumsy,” “Superman’s Dead” and “Somewhere Out There.” His solo work began with the 2007 album The Hunter’s Lullaby. In 1999, Raine Maida fronted Our Lady Peace at Woodstock 1999; the following year, the band organized and headlined the Canadian Summersault festival tour. After releasing The Hunter’s Lullaby, he performed his own material in smaller acoustic settings, and he later toured with Chantal Kreviazuk as the duo Moon Vs Sun.

Chantal Kreviazuk is a Canadian singer-songwriter and pianist born in Winnipeg in 1974. She became known through the albums Under These Rocks and Stones and Colour Moving and Still, including the songs “Surrounded” and “Before You,” as well as her recording of “Leaving on a Jet Plane” for the Armageddon soundtrack. Chantal Kreviazuk performed at Lilith Fair in the late 1990s and appeared at the Canadian Live 8 concert in Barrie in 2005. Her solo concerts center on her singing and piano playing, while joint performances with her husband, Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace, have also been presented under the name Moon Vs Sun.
