Ray Gelato in London

Ray Gelato is a British saxophonist, singer and bandleader from London who plays swing and jump blues. He first became known through the Chevalier Brothers and later established Ray Gelato and the Giants, recording albums including The Full Flavour and Wonderful. In the 1980s, Ray Gelato toured with the Chevalier Brothers, whose concert history included the Montreux Jazz Festival. He subsequently made the Giants his principal live band and brought the group to Umbria Jazz. Britain and Italy have been central to his concert work. He has led shows at Ronnie Scott’s in London and performed regularly for Italian audiences, including dates at Blue Note Milano.
