About Redd Kross
Redd Kross is an American rock band formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1978 by brothers Jeff and Steven McDonald. Their music connects punk energy with power-pop melodies, heard across albums including Born Innocent, Neurotica, Third Eye and Phaseshifter.
Redd Kross played their first concert opening for Black Flag, entering the Southern California punk circuit while the McDonald brothers were still teenagers. Decades later, the band toured with Melvins on the 2019 Escape From L.A. Tour.
