About Reigning Sound
Reigning Sound is an American garage-rock band formed in Memphis in 2001 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Greg Cartwright, previously of the Oblivians and Compulsive Gamblers. The group plays raw rock and roll shaped by soul, R&B and power pop, and is known for albums including Time Bomb High School, Too Much Guitar, Shattered and A Little More Time with Reigning Sound.
The 2005 concert album Live at Goner Records documented an in-store performance at the record shop associated with the band's hometown label. In later years, Reigning Sound toured clubs in North America and Europe and performed at the label's garage-rock festival, Gonerfest.
