Reinhardt Buhr in Bristol

Reinhardt Buhr is a South African multi-instrumentalist and composer known for solo live-looping performances. His instrumental music draws on ambient electronics, post-rock, folk and classical textures, using guitar, electric cello, didgeridoo, percussion and synthesizers to construct layered pieces in real time. He developed his live work through street performance and filmed sessions, recording each instrument into loops before adding the next part. These one-person performances brought his music to a wider online audience and remain closely associated with his work in Cape Town.
