Ricchi E Poveri in Plovdiv

Ricchi E Poveri are an Italian pop group formed in Genoa in 1967. Originally a vocal quartet, the group is best known for songs including “Sarà perché ti amo,” “Mamma Maria” and “Come vorrei.” At the 1970 Festival di Sanremo, Ricchi E Poveri presented “La prima cosa bella” with Nicola Di Bari and finished second. They returned a year later with “Che sarà,” paired with José Feliciano, and again placed second; in 1978 they represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in Paris with “Questo amore.” Their long association with the Italian competition produced a victory in 1985, when “Se m’innamoro” took first place. Ricchi E Poveri perform live as the vocal duo of founding members Angela Brambati and Angelo Sotgiu.
