Septicflesh in Plovdiv

Septicflesh are a Greek symphonic death-metal band formed in 1990. Their music sets death-metal guitars and vocals against orchestral and choral writing, heard on albums including Communion, The Great Mass, Titan and Codex Omega. The group disbanded in 2003, reunited in 2007 and thereafter used the single-word spelling of its name. In 2019, Septicflesh performed at Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City with an orchestra and choirs, recording the concert released as Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX. They returned to an orchestral setting in 2024 at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, where they presented their songs with the Athens State Orchestra.
