Artist
Ringo Starr is a British drummer, singer and songwriter, born in Liverpool in 1940 and best known as a member of The Beatles. He sang lead on Beatles recordings including “Yellow Submarine” and “With a Little Help from My Friends,” while his solo catalogue includes “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Photograph,” “You’re Sixteen” and the album Ringo. In 1971, he performed at George Harrison’s Concert for Bangladesh at Madison Square Garden, singing “It Don’t Come Easy” and playing drums in the ensemble. He launched Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band in 1989, establishing a touring project whose lineup changed across successive theatre and arena tours. All-Starr Band concerts alternate his solo and Beatles material with songs led by the other musicians. He performs as both singer and drummer, and the first touring lineup included Joe Walsh and Billy Preston.
