About Rival Schools
Rival Schools are an American post-hardcore band formed in New York City in 1999 by Walter Schreifels, Ian Love, Cache Tolman and Sammy Siegler. Their debut album, United by Fate, established their tightly wound alternative rock sound through songs including “Used for Glue,” “Good Things” and “Travel by Telephone”; the group later returned with Pedals.
Rival Schools returned to the stage in 2008 after several years apart, playing reunion dates and appearing at Download Festival. The release of Pedals in 2011 led to further international touring, including performances at Reading and Leeds Festivals.
The band also played headline shows in club-sized rooms, including the Bowery Ballroom in New York and the Electric Ballroom in London.
