Rob Schneider is an American stand-up comedian, actor and screenwriter, born in San Francisco in 1963. He became known as a writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live, where his recurring characters included office worker Richard Laymer, known as the Richmeister. His films include Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Animal and The Hot Chick.

In 1987, Rob Schneider opened for Dennis Miller, a performance that led to an appearance on HBO’s 13th Annual Young Comedians Special. He later returned to stand-up as a solo theater and comedy-club act; his 2020 special Asian Momma, Mexican Kids draws on his Filipino mother and his marriage to Patricia Azarcoya Schneider.
