About Rod Picott

Rod Picott is an American singer-songwriter raised in Maine and based in Nashville, known for plainspoken Americana, folk and roots-rock songs. His catalog includes the debut album Tiger Tom Dixon’s Blues and Welding Burns; he also co-wrote “Broke Down,” recorded by Slaid Cleaves.

Rod Picott toured Europe with fiddler and singer Amanda Shires, and their performance at Shrewsbury Folk Festival was released as a live album. He has also toured solo, presenting voice-and-guitar sets in listening rooms and folk clubs across the United States and Britain.
