Romare in Los Angeles

Romare is the recording name of British producer and DJ Archie Fairhurst. He makes sample-based electronic music shaped by house, disco, soul, jazz and blues, an approach reflected in tracks such as “The Blues (It Began in Africa)” and “Motherless Child.” His albums include Projections, Love Songs: Part Two and Home, released by Ninja Tune. Boiler Room filmed Romare performing a live set in London, documenting how his layered studio productions are adapted for performance. He has also presented his music in DJ sets and performed at Glastonbury Festival.
