Ronnie Milsap is an American country singer and pianist, born in Robbinsville, North Carolina, in 1943. His recordings brought country together with pop, soul and soft rock, and he is known for songs including “Smoky Mountain Rain,” “It Was Almost Like a Song,” “There’s No Gettin’ Over Me” and “Any Day Now.”

He became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1976 and performed there repeatedly over the following decades. In 2023, he performed at The Final Nashville Show, a tribute concert featuring guest artists at Bridgestone Arena.
