About Running Wild
Running Wild is a German heavy-metal band founded in Hamburg by guitarist and singer Rolf Kasparek. The album Under Jolly Roger established the pirate themes that became central to the band’s identity, while Port Royal and Death or Glory developed its fast, riff-driven heavy and power metal.
Running Wild played a farewell concert at Wacken Open Air in 2009, later documented as The Final Jolly Roger. After returning to the stage at the same festival in 2012, the band performed at Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen in 2015.
