About Russell Brand
Russell Brand is an English stand-up comedian, actor, author and broadcaster, born in Grays, Essex, in 1975. He became widely known as the presenter of Big Brother’s Big Mouth, then reached cinema audiences through Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek. His other prominent work includes the memoir My Booky Wook and a long-running body of radio and podcast broadcasting.
The Scandalous tour took Brand through British theatres and arenas, and its performance at London’s O2 Arena was released as a filmed stand-up special. He later toured internationally with Messiah Complex, a show built around fame, belief and political power, before returning to theatres with material about parenthood and personal change in Re:Birth.
