Ryan Bingham & The Texas Gentlemen in Nashville

Ryan Bingham is an American singer-songwriter and actor, born in Hobbs, New Mexico, whose music draws on country, Americana and roots rock. His early albums include Mescalito, Roadhouse Sun and Junky Star. He co-wrote “The Weary Kind” with T Bone Burnett for the film Crazy Heart; the song won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song. Ryan Bingham toured the songs from Mescalito with the Dead Horses, the backing band credited on his early records. He later brought his full-band set to Stagecoach and Austin City Limits Music Festival, and his headline dates have included Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

The Texas Gentlemen are an American musical collective formed in Dallas, playing country rock, soul, roots rock and psychedelia. Drawn from the North Texas session-player community, the group is known for the albums TX Jelly and Floor It!!!. In 2016, the musicians appeared at Newport Folk Festival as the backing band for Kris Kristofferson. After TX Jelly, they toured under their own name with a full electric lineup, developing the ensemble format they had used for Kris Kristofferson.
