S. Carey in Stoughton

S. Carey is the solo project of American musician and songwriter Sean Carey, based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He writes atmospheric indie folk shaped by piano, acoustic instruments and layered vocals, and is also known as the drummer and backing vocalist for Bon Iver. His solo catalogue includes the albums All We Grow, Range of Light, Hundred Acres and Break Me Open. Sean Carey joined Bon Iver’s touring lineup around the release of For Emma, Forever Ago and went on to perform internationally with the band. As S. Carey, he later brought songs from Range of Light to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, performing with a small ensemble in the series’ intimate office setting.
