About Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar
Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar is a Canadian soul-blues band formed in Toronto and led by singer-songwriter Samantha Martin. Gospel-rooted vocal harmonies, rhythm and blues, and a horn-backed sound shape albums including Send the Nightingale, Run to Me and The Reckless One, which features “Don't Have to Be.”
The group toured Canada and Europe in support of Run to Me and later brought songs from The Reckless One into its full-band sets. In Canada, the band has performed at the Calgary Folk Music Festival and the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
