About Saurom
Saurom is a Spanish folk-metal band formed in 1996 in San Fernando, Cádiz. The group calls its style “juglar metal,” pairing heavy and power metal with folk instruments, fantasy narratives and Spanish literary themes. Its best-known records include Sombras del Este, inspired by The Lord of the Rings, as well as Maryam, Vida and Sueños.
In 2016, Saurom celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Real Teatro de las Cortes in San Fernando, a performance documented on 20... al mundo de los sueños. The band marked its 25th anniversary in 2023 with a concert at Madrid’s WiZink Center.
