Scala & Kolacny Brothers in Bad Lippspringe

Scala & Kolacny Brothers is a Belgian women’s choir formed in 1996 by brothers Stijn and Steven Kolacny. The ensemble performs choral arrangements of rock and alternative pop songs; its recording of Radiohead’s “Creep” became widely heard through the trailer for The Social Network. In 2011, Scala & Kolacny Brothers performed at SXSW in Austin before appearing at Coachella in Indio during the same US run. Those festival dates placed the choir’s concert format before audiences beyond its established European touring circuit. The singers perform as a choir under Stijn Kolacny’s direction, accompanied on piano by Steven Kolacny. Concert programmes draw on the ensemble’s recorded arrangements, including songs by U2 and Rammstein.
