Shalamar in Las Vegas

Shalamar is an American R&B, soul and disco group formed in Los Angeles in 1977 through the Soul Train organization. Howard Hewett, Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniel made up the trio behind the album Friends and songs including “A Night to Remember,” “The Second Time Around,” “Make That Move” and “There It Is.” A 1982 concert at London’s Hammersmith Odeon was filmed for Shalamar: Live in London during the Friends era. Decades later, the group brought that repertoire to an outdoor festival audience at Glastonbury Festival in 2023.
