Shozo Ise in Utsunomiya

Shozo Ise is a Japanese singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Oita in 1951. He first became known as a member of the folk group Kaguyahime and later formed the duo Kaze. His best-known compositions include “22-sai no Wakare” and “Nagori Yuki,” the latter also closely associated with singer Iruka. In 2006, Shozo Ise took part in the Kaguyahime reunion at the outdoor Forever Young concert with Takuro Yoshida in Tsumagoi. He has also performed around Japan under his own name, drawing on his solo catalogue and songs from his earlier groups. His solo concert repertoire includes material from Kaze, the duo he formed with Kazuhisa Okubo.
