Silje Nergaard in Eindhoven

Silje Nergaard is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, born in Steinkjer in 1966, whose music draws on vocal jazz and jazz-pop. Her debut album, Tell Me Where You’re Going, featured Pat Metheny on its title track; her catalogue also includes At First Light, Nightwatch and the song “Be Still My Heart.” Nergaard made an early public appearance at the Molde International Jazz Festival in 1982, when she was 16. She later toured European theatres and jazz festivals with small ensembles, and a Cologne performance with pianist Helge Lien, bassist Finn Guttormsen and drummer Jarle Vespestad was released as Live in Köln.
