Skerryvore in Kaiserslautern

Skerryvore is a Scottish folk-rock band formed on the Isle of Tiree in 2005. The group sets bagpipes, fiddle and accordion against a rock rhythm section, and is known for songs including “Take My Hand” and “You & I” and albums such as EVO and Tempus. In 2015, Skerryvore marked its tenth anniversary with a concert at Mossfield Stadium in Oban. That event developed into the multi-act Oban Live festival, which the band subsequently headlined, while later touring also brought Skerryvore to Milwaukee Irish Fest and Denmark’s Tønder Festival. The concerts feature the full band performing vocal songs and instrumental pieces, with traditional Scottish melodies carried by pipes, fiddle and accordion. British dates frequently bring Skerryvore to London and Manchester. In Scotland, the band has also performed in Edinburgh.
