Slayer in Buenos Aires

Slayer is an American thrash-metal band formed in Huntington Park, California, in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, vocalist and bassist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo. The band became known for fast, abrasive records including Reign in Blood, South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss, as well as songs such as “Angel of Death” and “Raining Blood.” The Clash of the Titans tour brought Slayer together with Megadeth and Anthrax in Europe in 1990 and North America in 1991, where Alice in Chains opened the shows. At Sonisphere in Sofia in 2010, Slayer performed with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax as the four bands appeared together in concert. The farewell tour began in 2018 and concluded at The Forum in Inglewood in 2019. The band has headlined arena dates at Madison Square Garden and performed at a stadium concert at Yankee Stadium. Slayer returned to the stage in 2024 for Riot Fest in Chicago and Aftershock in Sacramento.

Kreator are a German thrash metal band formed in Essen in 1982. Led by vocalist and guitarist Mille Petrozza, they are known for albums including Pleasure to Kill, Extreme Aggression, Coma of Souls and Violent Revolution. The band recorded its 2012 concert at Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen for the live release Dying Alive. The Gods of Violence tour followed in 2017, when Kreator toured Europe with Sepultura, Soilwork and Aborted, and in 2023 they co-headlined the State of Unrest tour with Lamb of God. Kreator have performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Hellfest in France.
