Smokey Robinson in Bensalem

Smokey Robinson is an American soul and R&B singer, songwriter and producer, born in Detroit in 1940. He led the Miracles during Motown’s early decades, singing hits including “Shop Around,” “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “The Tracks of My Tears” and “The Tears of a Clown.” His solo catalogue includes the album Quiet Storm, whose title became the name of a smooth, late-night R&B radio format. The Miracles toured as part of Motown’s Motortown Revue package shows in the 1960s. Robinson later performed at the televised Motown 25 anniversary concert in 1983, and a 2009 London show was released as Smokey Robinson: Live at the Troxy. In 2015, he played the Sunday-afternoon legends set at Glastonbury Festival.
