About Sons Of Apollo
Sons Of Apollo is an American progressive-metal supergroup formed in 2017 by drummer Mike Portnoy, keyboardist Derek Sherinian, guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, bassist Billy Sheehan and vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. Their debut album, Psychotic Symphony, featured “Signs of the Time” and “Coming Home”; its follow-up, MMXX, included “Goodbye Divinity” and “Desolate July.”
The Psychotic Symphony World Tour took the five-piece through concert halls and rock venues in 2018. A performance at the Ancient Theatre of Plovdiv expanded the lineup to include an orchestra and choir and was released as Live with the Plovdiv Psychotic Symphony. The band returned to theatres in 2020 for the MMXX World Tour, performing material from both studio albums.
