Sophie Hutchings is an Australian composer and pianist from Sydney who writes contemporary classical music led by expressive, repeating piano figures. Her 2010 debut album, Becalmed, introduced her instrumental work, followed by records including Night Sky, Wide Asleep and Scattered on the Wind.

Sophie Hutchings has presented her compositions in solo-piano concerts and in arrangements with string players. Her concert history has included the Sydney Opera House.
