Soweto Gospel Choir in Aschaffenburg

Soweto Gospel Choir is a South African vocal ensemble formed in Soweto in 2002. The group performs gospel, spirituals and traditional South African music in several languages; its recordings include the Grammy-winning albums Blessed, African Spirit and Freedom. The choir began touring internationally with concerts in Australia in 2003, then performed at the 46664 concert at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town later that year. In 2010, it joined R. Kelly for “Sign of a Victory” during the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony at Soccer City in Johannesburg.
