Stein Torleif Bjella is a Norwegian singer-songwriter from Ål in Hallingdal, known for understated folk, country and rock songs written in his local dialect. After playing in Tolv Volt, he began his solo recording career with Heidersmenn in 2009 and followed it with albums including Vonde visu and Heim for å døy. “Romantikken gjer meg sjuk” and “Psykisk kan du vera sjøl” are among his best-known songs. Stein Torleif Bjella has toured Norway under his own name since the release of Heidersmenn, performing in both solo acoustic and full-band settings. His concert work has also taken his Hallingdal songs to Vinjerock and Øyafestivalen.
