About Stella Sommer
Stella Sommer is a German singer-songwriter and the frontwoman of the Hamburg indie-pop band Die Heiterkeit. Her solo work is sung primarily in English and centres on her low-register voice and spare, orchestral pop arrangements; her albums include 13 Kinds of Happiness, Northern Dancer and Silence Wore a Silver Coat.
During the 2010s, Sommer performed in clubs and at festivals as the singer of Die Heiterkeit before taking her solo catalogue to the stage under her own name. In 2023, she supported Element of Crime at concerts in Germany.
