Stephen Bishop in Los Angeles

Stephen Bishop is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in San Diego in 1951, whose soft rock and pop writing became widely known in the 1970s. His debut album, “Careless,” included “On and On” and “Save It for a Rainy Day”; he also recorded “It Might Be You” for the film “Tootsie” and wrote “Separate Lives,” later recorded by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin. “Live at the House of Blues” documented Bishop performing his songbook in concert. He later toured with Ambrosia, John Ford Coley, Peter Beckett and Steve Augeri as part of Yacht Rock the Dock.
