Steve ´n´ Seagulls are a Finnish bluegrass and country band formed in Jyväskylä in 2010. They became known through acoustic reworkings of hard rock and metal songs, particularly their video for AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.” Their recordings include the albums Farm Machine and Brothers in Farms, as well as versions of “The Trooper” and “Paradise City.” The band performed at Wacken Open Air in 2015 after the release of Farm Machine. They subsequently toured clubs across Europe and North America and appeared at Download Festival and Sweden Rock Festival. Their concerts use banjo, accordion, mandolin, upright bass, acoustic guitar and drums to recast familiar rock material in a bluegrass setting. That format underpins their versions of songs by AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Metallica.
