About Stromboli
Stromboli is a Czech progressive and art-rock band founded in 1985 by guitarist Michal Pavlíček, with Bára Basiková as its principal singer. The group is known for the double album Stromboli, the later records Shutdown and Fiat Lux, and songs including “Ó hory, ó hory” and “Carmen.”
A performance at Prague Jazz Days in 1985 supplied live material for the self-titled debut and marked the start of the band’s concert history. After ending its original run in 1989, Stromboli reunited in 2014 for a concert at Prague’s O2 arena.
