About Subway To Sally
Subway To Sally are a German medieval rock and folk-metal band formed in Potsdam in 1990. Their music sets German-language lyrics against heavy guitars, violin and folk instruments; key releases include Hochzeit, Herzblut and Nord Nord Ost, while “Kleid aus Rosen,” “Sieben” and “Eisblumen” are among their best-known songs.
The 2006 Nackt tour presented the group’s repertoire in an acoustic concert format and was documented on a live release. In 2009, the band established the Eisheilige Nacht winter concert series, appearing with changing guest acts at venues around Germany. Subway To Sally have also made repeated festival appearances at Wacken Open Air.
