Artists
Sylosis are a British metal band formed in Reading in 2000, led by guitarist and vocalist Josh Middleton. They play thrash metal and melodic death metal, and are known for albums including Edge of the Earth, Monolith and Dormant Heart, as well as songs such as “Empyreal” and “Heavy Is the Crown.” In 2013, Sylosis toured North America with Trivium and DevilDriver until an RV crash injured members of the touring party and ended their run. They returned to the stage at Download Pilot in 2021, then undertook a UK and Ireland headline tour in 2024 that included the Electric Ballroom in London.
Whitechapel is an American deathcore band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2006. Built around vocalist Phil Bozeman and a three-guitar lineup, the band became known through albums including This Is Exile, A New Era of Corruption and The Valley, as well as songs such as “Possession,” “The Saw Is the Law” and “Hickory Creek.” Whitechapel played the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival in 2012 and co-headlined the Brothers of Brutality tour with Emmure the following year. The band marked a decade since its debut album on the 2017 Decade of Defilement tour, then performed The Valley in full on a 2023 headlining run supported by Archspire, Signs of the Swarm and Entheos.
