About T-Pain
T-Pain is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and producer born in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1984. His digitally treated vocal style became a hallmark of 2000s pop and hip-hop, heard on songs including “I’m Sprung,” “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” and “Bartender.” His early albums include Rappa Ternt Sanga and Epiphany.
His 2014 NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert presented “Buy U a Drank,” “Up Down” and “Drankin’ Patna” in a voice-and-piano arrangement. In 2022, the Road to Wiscansin Tour led into Wiscansin Fest in Milwaukee, a festival created and headlined by T-Pain. The Escape from Wiscansin concert series followed in 2023.
