Take 6 in Boulogne-Billancourt

Take 6 is an American vocal group formed at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1980. The ensemble sings contemporary gospel and vocal jazz through close six-part harmony, vocal bass and vocal percussion. Its self-titled debut includes “Spread Love” and “If We Ever Needed the Lord Before,” and the group has received multiple Grammy Awards. The 1990 concert album Live documented Take 6’s early stage repertoire, followed a decade later by Tonight: Live. The group later joined The Manhattan Transfer for The Summit, a co-headlining concert built around individual sets and performances by both ensembles together.
