Youn Sun Nah in Boulogne-Billancourt

Youn Sun Nah is a South Korean jazz singer, born in Seoul in 1969, whose repertoire ranges across vocal jazz, chanson and folk-rooted material. After studying music in Paris, she built an international catalogue that includes the albums Same Girl, Lento and She Moves On, as well as distinctive interpretations of “My Favorite Things” and “My Name Is Carnival.” During the years around Same Girl and Lento, Youn Sun Nah toured in a duo with Swedish guitarist Ulf Wakenius, a format centred on voice and guitar. She also performed at Jazz in Marciac and the Montreux Jazz Festival before giving a headline concert at Olympia in Paris.
