Tangerine Dream are a German electronic-music group founded in Berlin in 1967 by Edgar Froese. They are known for the sequencer-led albums Phaedra, Rubycon and Stratosfear, as well as scores for Sorcerer, Thief and Risky Business. After Froese’s death in 2015, the group continued under Thorsten Quaeschning. A 1974 performance at Reims Cathedral became an early landmark in the group’s concert history. Tangerine Dream followed it with a 1975 concert at Royal Albert Hall, then played the Palast der Republik in 1980. Their 1983 concerts in Poland were documented on the live album Poland, recorded in Warsaw.
