Testament is an American thrash metal band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1983, initially under the name Legacy. They are known for early albums including The Legacy, The New Order and Practice What You Preach, as well as songs such as “Over the Wall,” “Into the Pit” and “Electric Crown.” In 1988, Testament performed at Monsters of Rock at Donington Park on a lineup headed by Iron Maiden.
