Thank You Scientist is an American progressive-rock band formed in Montclair, New Jersey, in 2009. Its music draws on jazz fusion, metal and funk, using trumpet, saxophone and violin alongside a rock rhythm section. The band is known for the albums Maps of Non-Existent Places, Stranger Heads Prevail and Terraformer, as well as songs including “Mr. Invisible” and “FXMLDR.”

In 2013, Thank You Scientist opened for Coheed and Cambria during the touring cycle for The Afterman, beginning a long association between the two bands. Later headline runs brought the group’s multi-instrumental arrangements to clubs and theatres across North America. The band also performed aboard Cruise to the Edge.
